CT/Cone Beam Scanner

Our Sirona CT/cone beam scanner allows us to create a digital 3D map that includes both rows of teeth, your jaws, and even the location of tiny facial nerves. With it, we can see the big picture when it comes to your oral health as well as focus on the small details. We can use it to establish a starting point at your first visit, and it also can help us plan more involved procedures like dental implant placement.

Digital Dental Impressions

Before giving a patient a crown, denture, or nightguard, we need to take an impression of their teeth. That way, we can make sure the prosthetic or restoration looks and fits perfectly starting on day one. Rather than relying on dental putty to create a physical model of the teeth, we can now just scan the mouth and generate a digital impression in a matter of minutes. This approach is faster, more accurate, and doesn’t create a mess like the old way!

Intraoral Cameras

Slightly bigger than a pen, our intraoral camera makes it easy to get a close look at your teeth and gums, including those hard-to-see areas. It produces high-quality images, and we can show you a detailed view of your tooth almost instantly. It not only increases our understanding of your mouth, but you’ll also get to see everything from our perspective, making the dental process more transparent.

BOTOX Treatment

Botox is well-known for its ability to reduce wrinkles, but it has also been a trusted pain reliever for decades. At Blue Back Dental, we can use it to treat TMJ, orofacial pain, and headaches by injecting it into overactive and strained facial muscles. This calms the unconscious movement that leads to facial pain and headaches. The results typically take about a day or two to manifest, and after that, they can be trusted to last for about three months.

TMJ Treatment

TMJ describes a wide array of symptoms including chronic jaw pain, headaches/migraines, teeth grinding, and frequent popping and clicking when opening and closing the mouth. This can stem from many possible factors, which is why we offer multiple TMJ treatment options for relief. With custom-made splints, occlusal adjustments, and even Botox, we can soothe pain and treat the source so that when it goes away, it stays gone.

Nitrous Oxide Sedation

You don’t need to explain to us why you’re anxious about going to the dentist. If you’re nervous, tell us, and we’ll do everything we can to make you comfortable. In addition to answering your questions and using a light touch, we also offer nitrous oxide sedation dentistry. Just a few deep breaths through a nasal mask are all most people need to immediately feel more relaxed. Even better, once the procedure is over and the mask is removed, you should feel normal within a few minutes with no lingering effects.
